Jeanne D. Kennedy's focus is in health services, nonprofits, and individual counseling. Her career has heavily emphasized health care and community service. She was the Director of Community & Patient Relations at Stanford University Hospital for over 25 years where she established patient advocacy, volunteer resources, interpreter services, the Stanford Health Library, senior services, art, music, massage, humor programs, among others. Before that she was the Director of Resources Development at the Institute of Medicine (National Academy of Sciences) in Washington, D.C. She has served on 15 Boards of Directors and Advisory Boards, holding 11 offices. She has been honored by recognition from her community with awards including the Athena Business Woman of the Year and the Avenidas Lifetime of Achievement
